Immeasurably Frustrating Thing #3

(This one’s slightly less frustrating than the previous two) When you’re listening to one of your favorite songs, and you suddenly start paying attention to the singer’s breathing patterns: the inhale before each line; the exhale that may be noticed after the last syllable of that line. It gets you thinking a bit, but it tends to be a huge distraction from the song itself. You can’t seem to pull your attention away from it, because as you’re constantly being irked by your own meticularities, you’re only thinking about it more, creating a circle of endless observation. The only way to truly stop paying attention is to subconsciously notice something else. One cannot actively forget something.
